Today, at the State Audit Office, Auditor General Mr. Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General Mr. Orhan Ademi, together with their team, held a working meeting with a World Bank delegation, led by Ms. Mediha Agar, a representative of the Mission supporting the implementation of the project “Building Effective, Transparent, and Accountable Institutions for Management of Public Finances, “financed by the World Bank.
Auditor General Mr. Maksim Acevski briefed the World Bank representatives on the current national and international activities of the State Audit Office, the results achieved, and the role of the SAO as a Supreme Audit Institution in the country.
Ms. Agar, expressing her gratitude for the presented results, highlighted the impressive and inspiring achievements of the SAO, emphasizing that the institution positions itself as a leader not only in the region, but also globally.
The meeting focused on future joint activities, the World Bank’s support for further advancement of the SAO’s operations, as well as potential areas for new project initiatives aimed at building effective state audit mechanisms and strengthening public financial management systems.
