Enhancing the knowledge and skills of state auditors – training for state auditors organized by the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic

In line with the strategic goals of the State Audit Office and the implementation of INTOSAI International Standards regarding the enhancement of state auditors’ knowledge and skills, and in accordance with the signed Memorandum of Cooperation, an international training for auditors was held from October 6 to October 10, 2025, at the Training Center of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic in Přestavlky. The training was organized by the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic.

The training was attended by representatives from the State Audit Office of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Supreme Audit Institution of Ukraine. The participants were addressed by the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloslav Kala, and the Deputy President, Mr. Jan Málek, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation and continuous professional development in the field of public auditing.

During the training, several current topics were discussed, including:

  • Adapting to modern auditing standards and practices;
  • Enhancing efficiency and transparency in audit processes;
  • Identifying and assessing risks;
  • Defining clear and measurable audit criteria in performance audits;
  • Using the BIEP platform to share ideas, experiences, and indicators among member institutions;
  • Applying modern digital tools for data analysis and visualization to improve audit reports and communication with the public;
  • Opportunities for active participation in international projects and leveraging resources available through the EUROSAI network.

The training provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and good practices among participants from the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Ukraine, and the Czech Republic.

The training also fostered further cooperation among the institutions with the aim of advancing the audit profession at both regional and European levels.
