Today, September 29, 2025, a bilateral meeting is taking place at the premises of the State Audit Office as part of the parallel audit “Programs for Early Detection of Malignant Diseases.” The meeting is attended by the Auditor General, Mr. Maksim Acevski, and Dr. Branislav Radulović, Senator of the State Audit Institution of Montenegro, together with the audit teams from both institutions.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Acevski and Dr. Radulović, who emphasized the long-standing successful cooperation between the institutions. “Our joint work is an example of how partnership can improve audit practice and contribute to socially significant issues, such as the protection of public health,” stated Mr. Acevski.
This audit is led by the Assistant Auditor General, Ms. Sonja Kambovska, who, together with her team, is actively coordinating the work and exchange of experiences within the project.
During the first day, the focus was placed on discussing the audit findings, exchanging experiences between the audit teams, and presenting the working documents used.
The work will continue tomorrow, September 30, 2025, with a focus on developing the matrix of findings, aligning the structure and timeframe for the preparation of the final report, and defining the next steps.
“Parallel audits are not just a technical process, they are also an opportunity to build common standards and exchange best practices between institutions,” emphasized Dr. Radulović.
This meeting further strengthens institutional cooperation and opens new perspectives for future activities within cooperative audits of common interest.
