Auditor General Maksim Acevski met with the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Ms. Nicole Varnes at SAO premises.
The Auditor General, expressing appreciation for the interest in the visit, presented the State Audit Office results and activities, past and current, with special emphasis on the institution's progress in aligning with modern auditing standards, increasing transparency, and strengthening cooperation with stakeholders.
Mr. Acevski also expressed his appreciation for the support of the U.S. Embassy as a strategic partner of our country on the path toward EU membership and highlighted the importance of ongoing activities aimed at developing institutional capacities and modernizing audit processes.
The Deputy Ambassador, commending the achievements and success of the State Audit Office, expressed readiness for continued cooperation in support of the institution's endeavors.
