At the invitation of the Embassy of Switzerland, Auditor General Maksim Acevski attended and spoke at yesterday's ceremony honoring the recipients of the Swiss Scholarship Program. This program is part of the Parliamentary Support Program, which actively involves employees of the State Audit Office.
The event featured introductory remarks and congratulations to the scholarship recipients from H.E. Véronique Ullmann, Ambassador of Switzerland to North Macedonia, Ms. Marina Dimovska, Secretary General of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Auditor General Maksim Acevski.
In his address, Mr. Acevski emphasized the commitment of SAO as a supreme audit institution recognized for its integrity and professionalism. He highlighted the institution’s continuous efforts to invest in the improvement and strengthening of its employees’ capacities, positioning SAO as a credible source of support for positive changes in the public sector.
The program has financially supported the parliamentary staff in their professional development since 2018, and SAO employees have been included since 2023. Over the past six years, 41 employees have received financial support for academic studies, language courses, human resources training, marketing, public procurement, and IT courses.
