SAO delegation headed by Auditor General Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi, MSc had a working meeting with Auditor General of SAI Albania Dr. Arben Shehu.
The purpose of the visit was to intensify and strengthen bilateral cooperation, readiness and desire to exchange experience and specific activities of mutual interest for both institutions in the field of external audit of the public sector and public asset management.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the transparency of the work of both institutions, sharing information with the public, and also sharing experience and facing challenges in conducting audits in areas of common interest, in particular dealing with crises, fires, floods, pandemics, public debt audit and audit of local self-government units and political parties.
Additionally, it was agreed to further strengthen the cooperation in various audit areas in the coming period so to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of state audit and increase the knowledge and skills of employees.
