Today, at the invitation of Prof. Pece Nikolovski, PhD, the Auditor General, Mr. Maksim Acevski, MSc, delivered a lecture to students at the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, covering several key areas within the field of economics, including banking, auditing, and accounting. 🎓
During the lecture, the Auditor General highlighted the role and significance of the State Audit Office in the public finance system, focusing on its responsibilities, the different types of audits, and the institution’s contribution to strengthening public accountability, transparency, and trust in institutions.
Students had the opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of the auditing and accounting professions, the connection between the banking sector and public finances, as well as the process of preparing audit reports. Attendees actively participated with questions and engaged in discussions on professional development and career opportunities in these fields.
The Auditor General emphasized the importance of continuous education and practical training for young professionals, highlighting that collaboration between the academic community and institutions is key to advancing the auditing profession.
Following the lecture at the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, the Auditor General, Mr. Maksim Acevski, MSc, held a working meeting with the Dean and the Vice Dean for International Cooperation.
