Auditor General Maksim Acevski held an official meeting with the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic Mr. Miloslav Kala.
At the bilateral meeting, held in the spirit of mutual understanding and support, both institutions presented their development, successes, and the challenges they face. Additionally, topics of mutual interest were discussed to deepen the current cooperation.
The discussion focused on exploring opportunities for further engagement and participation of the State Audit Office in EUROSAI working groups and initiatives, where the Czech Supreme Audit Institution already has made a significant contribution. The experience of the Czech colleagues in conducting audit activities within EUROSAI was also shared, with a focus on innovative methods and approaches, as well as the exchange of expert teams to enable better support of key audit areas.
During the visit, Mr. Acevski and Mr. Kala had a meeting with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Afrim Gashi, where they discussed the positive practices of EU member states and opportunities for enhancing cooperation.
This meeting is an important step towards strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two institutions and will contribute to improving audit practices, as well as increasing transparency and accountability of public institutions.
