Auditor General Mr. Maksim Acevski paid a working visit to the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, where he was warmly welcomed by Secretary General Dr. Sait Saiti.
The meeting focused on the importance of transparency, accountability, and good governance in the operations of humanitarian organizations, as well as on opportunities for further cooperation between the State Audit Office and the Red Cross. Both institutions emphasized the need for strong, responsible, and transparent operational models that foster citizens’ trust.
In recognition of his exceptional support, long-standing cooperation, and promotion of humanitarian values, Secretary General Saiti presented a certificate of appreciation to the Auditor General. This recognition symbolizes respect for the leadership and institutional commitment that, through personal and professional example, promote solidarity, social responsibility, and humanity as key societal principles.
Through its mission for transparency and accountability, the State Audit Office consistently demonstrates its social responsibility by building a bridge of trust with citizens through humanitarian activities, donations during natural disasters and human tragedies, and by organizing numerous blood donation campaigns.
These activities show that an institution’s true strength is measured not only by its professional achievements, but also by its humanity, solidarity, and dedication to the common good.
The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to continue cooperating in order to enhance transparency, integrity, and care for citizens.
