From 24 to 25 July 2025, the State Audit Office hosted a delegation from the National Audit Office of Kosovo, led by Auditor General Ms. Vlora Spanca.
During the two-day working visit, presentations covered the content and visualization of the Annual Report of the State Audit Office and the audit of European Union funds. These sessions involved sharing experiences, practices, and challenges related to preparing annual reports, transparency, data and visual tools for public communication, and the methodology for auditing EU funds.
SAO Auditor General, Mr. Maksim Acevski, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and continuous exchange of knowledge between supreme audit institutions to strengthen audit capacities, transparency, and the impact of audits in the public sector.
Ms. Vlora Spanca, Auditor General of Kosovo, emphasized the importance of transparency and the readiness of the State Audit Office to share best practices and innovative auditing approaches. The visit was seen as a key step toward establishing a sustainable partnership and joint learning, which will help improve the audit function both nationally and regionally.
The visit was an excellent opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two institutions and to initiate new forms of professional exchange and joint activities in the future.
