From 25-27 February 2025, the State Audit Office is hosting an IT working group for an event focused on auditing the configuration settings of the Oracle database. The event brings together representatives from SAO, the Office of the Auditor General of Norway, as well as the Supreme Audit Institutions of Slovenia and Kosovo.
Welcoming the event participants Auditor General Maksim Acevski emphasized that advancement in auditing using new ICT tools can only be achieved through mutual learning and the exchange of experiences.
Oracle database audit programs can be integrated into information security audits, as basis for testing the technical controls implemented by entities to mitigate cyber threats. Additionally, Oracle database audit programs can be part of financial IT audits.
This event is organized as part of the activities outlined in the Memorandum of Cooperation between SAO and OAGN signed in 2022 and expanded with new activities in the annual plan prepared in April 2024.
