The State Audit Office hosted a workshop within the Information Security Program from INTOSAI IDI Development Initiative project - InfoSec for SAIs from 27-30 August 2024.
The workshop was opened with introductory remarks by the Deputy Auditor General Mr. Orhan Ademi and Mr. Tanvir Hasan, ICT Management Manager at INTOSAI IDI, who wished the participants a successful and productive workshop aimed at exchanging knowledge and experience.
In this Program activities, SAO is represented by Sasho Jakovchevski, Assistant Auditor General for Audit of Information Systems, Goran Popovski, Senior Auditor and Deniz Bagashov, Junior Auditor.
Several virtual meetings were held prior to the workshop, where implemented measures from ISO/IEC 27001 standard within SAO were presented. Additionally, a document on IT system risks in line with ISO/IEC 27001 standard was prepared and submitted, and recommendations for risk reduction were received from the ICT Management Manager at IDI INTOSAI. Other colleagues from the IT department were also involved in the process of SAO risk self-assessment.
In addition to the representatives from the State Audit Office, the workshop was also attended by representatives from other SAIs that use ISO 27001, including the United States, Spain, Ghana, Tanzania, Serbia, and Albania.
