With the introductory addresses by Ms. Ioana Cosma, IFES Director in North Macedonia, Auditor General Maksim Acevski, Ms. Sofka Pejovska Dojcinovska, Vice president of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) and Mr. Khalid Hamid, Director of International of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) started the first of four planned workshops for acquiring International Certificate in Corruption Risk Management (ICCRM).
Auditor General pointed out the serious approach of the State Audit Office that participates with 100 state auditors in the ICCRM Program and the great expectations from the training process in corruption prevention.
The audit added value of SAO continuously contributes to strengthening financial management system of public institutions and effective measurement of results with the aim of creating preventive environment in the fight against corruption and other types of illegal conduct.
The corruption prevention program was prepared and developed as an ambitious program by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and CIPFA, and supported by IFES, aims to strengthen the capacities of institutions in the implementation, management and monitoring of corruption risks and integrity plans at national level level in all public sector entities.
Following the completion of the Program, the participants will acquire International Certificate in Corruption Risk Management.
