At the working meetings, representatives of both SAIs discussed and exchanged experience on several topics and areas in relation to the mandate, role and scope of SAI activities, as well as the digitization of audit processes with the use of new technologies.
Auditor General and Deputy Auditor General also held a meeting with the President of the Bundesrechnungshof Mr. Kay Scheller and discussed the future cooperation of both SAIs and exchange of good practice by defining short term and long term activities.
One of the key short-term activities defined is the communication between SAIs and Parliaments and the review of final audit reports, while long-term activity is exchange of knowledge and skills of state auditors in relation to the process of budgeting and reporting.
