The State Audit Office hosted a delegation of the supreme audit institution of the Republic of Montenegro headed by Senators Nikola Kovačević and Zoran Jelić.
Auditor General Maksim Acevski, Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi and other SAO representatives, warmly welcomed their colleagues from Montenegro.
In his introductory address, Mr. Acevski expressed satisfaction with the two-day bilateral visit noting that SAO is open and ready to share and present all successful innovations in its work and the results achieved in the audit process.
SAO employees presented and discussed with their colleagues various topics:
- Communication, transparency and accountability of the State Audit Office;
- SAO Communication Strategy as a strategic document;
- Presenting identified shortcomings from performed audits;
- Drafting summaries of audit reports and communication tools;
- Presence at social media and promotion; and
- Cooperation with the Assembly of RNM.
Senator Kovačević expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and the progress made in the work of the State Audit Office and showed appreciation for the opportunity to organize this bilateral meeting stating "We always look forward to opportunities for exchanging expert opinion and experiences with supreme audit institutions in the region and thus contribute to the development of new ideas and knowledge that would in the end improve accountable and transparent reporting to the public".
The working sessions were also attended by representatives of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy of both countries, since both SAIs are implementing project activities with WFD in the field of communication, transparency, accountability and communication with stakeholders.
