Transparency, accountability and openness of the State Audit Office in promoting state audit results is a priority for the management and employees of the supreme audit institution and a defined strategic commitment.
To strengthen skills on public speaking and media appearance, SAO employees participated in public speech and public relations two-day workshop organized by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) as an activity within the project "Support for Implementation of SAO Communication Strategy (2020 - 2023)”.
Workshop lecturer was the experienced journalist Snezana Lupevska Sozen, who introduced auditors to the most essential challenges in communicating with the media and investigative journalists.
At the working sessions participants discussed and exchanged opinions and experience on examples of media communication, fake news and crisis PR as a tool for protecting the institution. In addition, practical advice on quality public speaking and media appearance was presented.
Through an exercise for recording a statement, SAO management and auditors had the opportunity to improve and develop their public speaking skills and media appearance for quality presentation of audit activities and state audit results and thus for achieving added value in the society.
