On 9 December, International Anti-Corruption Day, Auditor General Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi participated in events at the invitation of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Anti-Corruption and the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption.

Auditor General Maksim Acevski pointed out that the State Audit Office as a supreme audit institution successfully fulfills its mission in line with the basic principles of independence, transparency, ethics, quality and accountability for more than 20 years.

The State Audit Office provides support to the Assembly of RNM in fulfilling its competencies by identifying and presenting irregularities, cases of illegal operations and possible cases of corruption and abuse of office.

At the event organized by the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi pointed out that the State Audit Office has prepared a questionnaire on integrity that was sent to 174 public sector institutions. This type of questionnaire is prepared for the first time and it covered the most important Budget users as well as the local self-government units.

The questionnaire consists of 102 questions divided into 12 areas that cover individual risks faced by the institutions in dealing with corruption, as well as assessment of the control system in place for proper management of existing risks for effective achievement of objectives of the public sector institutions.
