From 19 to 24 January 2026, the State Audit Office hosted a delegation from the Supreme Audit Institution of India (Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India).
During the visit, representatives of both sides presented and discussed experiences and good practices in public-sector auditing and considered possible areas for future bilateral cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions.
Representatives of the State Audit Office delivered presentations on several key aspects of their work, with particular emphasis on performance auditing, audits related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), gender-responsive auditing, environmental auditing, IT auditing, and the application of innovative tools and methodologies in audit practice. These presentations were complemented by open and constructive discussions, enabling a meaningful exchange of knowledge and professional experience with the delegation from the Supreme Audit Institution of India.
The bilateral visit made a valuable contribution to strengthening the international cooperation of the State Audit Office and to further enhancing professional capacities, to improve transparency, accountability, and the effective management of public finances.
At the conclusion of the visit, it was jointly noted that the two supreme audit institutions share many similarities in their audit approaches and practices, as well as numerous opportunities for future cooperation to strengthen and advance the knowledge and skills of public-sector auditors.
