On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, Transparency International – Macedonia hosted an event titled "Integrity as a Tool in the Fight Against Corruption".
Representatives from Transparency International Macedonia and the EU Delegation highlighted the importance of integrity and transparency within institutions.
During the panel discussion, representatives from the prosecution, judiciary, SAO, and SCPC shared experiences and suggestions for effective prevention and the fight against corruption.
In this context, Auditor General Maksim Acevski pointed out that the State Audit Office consistently makes significant efforts and undertakes numerous activities to uphold high levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability—qualities that position the SAO as a leading institution in the public sector.
Mr. Acevski also highlighted that risk management is a professional responsibility for all public sector employees and a crucial element for effective action in the system of preventing and combating corruption.
