From September 24 to September 26, 2025, a three-day workshop is being held at the premises of the State Audit Office, dedicated to strengthening the capacities of the SAO and providing support for conducting audits related to the Western Balkans Reform and Growth Instrument – Reform Agenda 2024-2027.
The workshop, conducted by experts from Ernst & Young and supported by the World Bank, was opened by the Auditor General, Mr. Maksim Acevski, who emphasized the importance of proper implementation of the reforms and achieving concrete results as a prerequisite for utilizing European Union funds.
An audit manual has been prepared as part of the project activities which is the first methodological document for auditing the Reform Agenda by a Supreme Audit Institution from the Western Balkans.
This project is a significant step towards strengthening institutional capacity and ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the management of European funds.
