Today, the State Audit Office hosted a meeting with representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission.
Auditor General Mr. Maksim Acevski, Deputy Auditor General Mr. Orhan Ademi, and their associates held a constructive discussion with Mr. Matteo Mecacci, Head of ODIHR Mission, and Mr. Radivoje Grujić, Legal Analyst.
The meeting focused on the activities taken by the State Audit Office concerning ensuring legality in the financing of political parties during election campaigns. The Auditor General emphasized that systemic weaknesses identified through the conducted audits in this area are continuously emphasized.
The Election Observation Mission will monitor the local elections in the Republic of North Macedonia, scheduled for 19 October 2025, by engaging 24 long-term and 250 short-term observers.
