On 4 March 2025, SAO employees participated in a training session in line with the Annual Plan for Continuous Professional Development for 2025, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The training focused on presenting key findings and practical examples from conducted audits on public procurement procedures, the applied laws and bylaws in public procurement, and the cooperation between the State Audit Office, the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Public Procurement Bureau, and other relevant institutions. Additionally, it highlighted their connection to the National Development Strategy 2024-2044 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The SAO Annual Work Program for 2025 includes 16 performance/compliance audits closely related to the National Development Strategy 2024-2044 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The training was conducted by Ms. Rosica Šalević Hristovska, Assistant to the Auditor General, Mr. Sašo Mateski, MSc, Principal Auditor, Ms. Marina Blaževska, Assistant to the Auditor General, and Dr. Mare Bogeva-Micovska, Director of the Public Procurement Bureau.
SAO employees had the opportunity to discuss and draw conclusions on joint initiatives on corruption prevention and anti-corruption efforts, in collaboration with representatives from the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and the Public Procurement Bureau.
