The State Audit Office (SAO) is an independent supreme audit institution in the Republic of North Macedonia, which informs the competent institutions and the public about the findings from conducted audits in a transparent, timely and objective manner for more than 20 years.
SAO continuously takes on activities for increasing transparency and accountability of its operations. Professional, timely and objective informing of all stakeholders (media, investigative journalists, civil society organizations and the public) on the results of state auditing remains one of the key strategic commitments of our institution.
Guided by the strategic objectives defined in the Communication Strategy 2020 - 2023, SAO aims to encourage communication where the media, citizens and civil society organizations will be allies in achieving the objective of increased accountability of budget users on the manner of using public funds.
For that purpose, we would like to inform you that today the State Audit Office is promoting its official Facebook page, as an activity planned within SAO Communication Strategy.
On SAO Facebook page, citizens and stakeholders will be informed about all activities and results of state auditing, and it will also provide a place for creative and constructive discussion and exchange of opinions.
