Based on the long-term successful cooperation, the State Audit Office invited the National Audit Office of Kosovo for a one-day bilateral meeting on 19 February 2021. Auditor General Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi welcomed Kosovo SAI delegation headed by Auditor General Besnik Osmani.
At the meeting, delegations discussed about coping with challenges imposed by the global pandemic Covid 19. Assistant Auditor General Dobrinka Veskovska presented conditions and key limiting factors faced by SAO auditors in conducting audits related to prevention and protection against the Covid pandemic.
Both delegations expressed satisfaction with the commitment of their institutions in fulfilling the Memorandum of Cooperation. The Memorandum was signed in 2019 to promote institutional cooperation through exchange of experience in the field of external audit methodology, organizing parallel audits on topics of common interest, support for development and application of audit software, exchange of information for professional activities, conferences, professional trainings and seminars.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of both SAIs concluded that they will further develop the cooperation in the coming years through exchange of experience and knowledge as well as best practice in conducting financial audits, compliance audits of public enterprises and performance audits.
