On 5-6 March 2024, Auditor General Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General Orhan Ademi hosted the delegation of the Slovenian Court of Audit headed by the President Ms. Jana Ahčin.
During the meetings, representatives from both SAIs had constructive discussions on several topics and areas of common interest and exchanged experiences and positive practices, particularly on the role and significance of audit institutions in the system for prevention and fight against corruption, communication processes and results achieved in increasing transparency and accountability, as well as audit of EU funds and other audit related activities.
Representatives of both SAIs also paid a working visit to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, where they met with the Vice President of the Assembly, Mr. Goran Misovski.
Auditor General Acevski and President Ahčin expressed satisfaction with the ongoing successful cooperation between the institutions as well as anticipation for future joint activities.
